Preparing well for a week-long cruise is key to a comfortable holiday. On the Sailing Freedom yacht, you’ll have everything you need, but it’s still worth packing a few essentials to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Clothing & Protection: Lightweight, breathable clothing, several swimsuits, a light sweater for evenings, and a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Sunglasses, a hat or cap, and high SPF sunscreen are must-haves.
Footwear: Water shoes, comfortable sandals, and light sneakers for island excursions.
Leisure Gear: Your own snorkel mask for a perfect fit, an underwater camera, a book or e-reader. All water equipment is available on board, but if you have a favorite item, feel free to bring it.
Documents & Money: Passport valid for at least 6 months, credit card, cash in USD, and travel insurance. We also recommend bringing small denominations ($1, $5, and $10) for buying souvenirs, fresh fruit, or fish from local Guna people. Large bills can be difficult to exchange.
Extra Tip: A small backpack for day trips, a waterproof bag for electronics, and your own reusable water bottle. Find more advice in our guest travel tips.
